Suha

Suha started her business in 2008, and because of her passion for sewing, she took some training and then worked for Sahab organization for four years.

Ms. Sahih made up her mind to start her business, which she loved, and in return, it helped with supporting her financially. She heard about Microfund for Women and the several funds they provide. She first obtained a 300-JOD fund with which she supported her sewing business. She launched her business by buying her first sewing machine, and then she started sewing clothes for her relatives and neighbors in Sahab, where she resides.

As the project took off and the demand for her services increased, Suha decided to buy an embroidery machine, which helped her improve the pace of production, leading to a faster delivery for the clients. Then she sought yet again another help from Microfund for Women of 1500 JOD, which helped her grow her business to buying four sewing machines and provided job opportunities for several women in her neighborhood.

Microfund for Women continued to support Suha at all levels, as she benefited from several fundings that significantly improved her business.

Suha managed through her business to provide the needed education for her children, and the business helped, more importantly, her development.

Suha dreams of fulfilling her dreams of opening her workshop in the future  her ambition by creating her operator in the future, as she added, “My project brought about a major change in my life and the life of my family, and indeed help of Microfund for Women particularly affected my life by helping me jumpstart my business, buy some assets and, most importantly, develop myself, my skills, and my abilities.”
