I developed my business with the help of MFW and with the support of my husband. I am very proud of myself and everything I accomplished.

Nour reached out for assistance from the Microfund for Women (MFW) with the hope of increasing her income to better support her family. She took her first loan to purchase online classes that taught her and her daughter how to create unique candles resembling cheesecake, the ocean, and other fun things. Shortly after starting production, Nour discovered that cheaper ingredients often contained chemicals that caused allergic reactions for customers. Therefore, Nour pursued more loans from MFW to upgrade the quality of her candles, ensuring purer ingredients for customer satisfaction. This commitment to quality helped her build a reputation for excellence.
Recognizing the potential of Nour’s business, MFW further supported her by showcasing her candles in popular venues such as Swefieh Mall, bazaars, and other prominent locations. This exposure not only increased her profit margins but also raised awareness of her business, leading to a significant increase in followers and popularity on Instagram. As her business grew, customers began requesting custom candles and other products.
The loans from MFW transformed what started as a hobby into a thriving business. Nour and her daughter were not only able to educate themselves and enhance their skills through loans, but utilized the selling opportunities MFW provides to create even more profit.
Once they gained popularity and recognition, they expanded their offerings to include custom wax pieces and essential oils in wax form for aromatherapy. Nour and her daughter praised MFW for their continuous support and explained how the loans and resources provided over the years significantly expanded her business and increased her overall income.
