Lamia decided to put her cooking skill to good use, as she is an expert in preparing meals from the local cuisine, which her neighbors love; that is when she started her own meal preparation business from the comfort of her home.

The 54-year-old Lamia said that the moment she told everyone that she is starting this business, she was bombarded with support and love from her community, which led her to seek the help of Microfund for Women to obtain a fund to enable her to buy the needed ingredients and equipment.

Lamia noted that her business managed to better the living status of her family of 3 and could pay off the majority of her financial commitments from the profits of this humble business.
