Firial

Firial and her family of 8 faced many difficulties and challenges. Finally, they sought refuge in Jordan to escape the war in Syria, leaving behind everything they have in the hope of surviving another day and secure a safe and decent life.

Firial turned to Microfund for Women, which provided her with needed moral support and funding to purchase her first oven. After that, she baked pastries and sold them to the people around her, which became a significant source of income for her and her large family.

Today, she has expanded her business and included homemade pickles and plans to set up a small shop in her home to grow her business and increase the number of items she makes in the near future.

She urges women around her with this piece of advice: “Be strong and do things in your life without hesitation.”
