I make a living off of my family coffee kiosk. However, with all the electric appliances used in the business, most of the profit went to the energy expenditure. With Taqati loan, I installed a solar energy system which helped decrease my energy bills while my household income increased!

Etaf started her home-based business as a meal preparation and catering chef; all came possible with the support of Microfinance for Women, which provided Etaf with the needed fund to buy the equipment to kickstart her business years ago
Her ambitions to reach the star were unstoppable; she wanted to master the culinary art. So when she expressed her desire to upskill the employees at Microfund for Women, they showered her with encouragement to pursue her dreams, obtain a fund and enroll in Al Quds College (Luminus Technical University College now) to get her degree in culinary arts.
She was able to perfectly balance between her business and her duties to her home, as well as excelling in her studies, all with persistence and determination, until she obtained her degree, not long after she landed a job as a chef at a five-star hotel in Amman.
Her family’s financial situation improved considerably after she started working, and she was able to purchase a van for her husband as a delivery driver for a nursery. She also dreams of having a big, famous restaurant on the kingdom level and taking cooking courses outside Jordan.
Today, Etaf is thrilled that Microfund for Women has stood by her and encouraged her and believes that her experience with MFW has brought about a qualitative shift in her life and that of her family for the better.
